Launching LittleWriter

  • Click on the link in the start menu of windows "LittleWriter"
  • First Screen :

  • 1 - Card Representation

    This view offer you to see the content of you card. You can interact with the card by Drag & drop files or by the contextual menu



    The informations you can see on the window are :



    2 - Output for message

    This window is not the most important, but the content will be very usefull in case of some trouble.



    3 - Menu

    There are 5 menus



    4 - Progress bar

    The progress bar show the state of writing for the current roms. The total progress bar is show in the card view by a green part.

    With the Tools menu you can access to the options dialog page

    Writing with LittleWriter

    Detecting the card

    By default, LittleWriter try to detect the card in the order :
    If LittleWriter don't find any card, you will see the simulate dialog box :



    In this dialog box you can choice the type of card you want to Emulate in software. ( some function may not be availble in this mode)


    Erasing the card

    Before Writing to the card, you often need to Erase. You can erase the card with the button Erase or the Menu Card/Erase. A other way is to use the function Format from menu Card. But you don't need to make a format every time.After the Erase you may see the dialog box :


    Adding a roms

    You have three way to add a roms to the current card : If you have activate on Plugins option page some plugins in auto made, it will be executed automaticly.
    If you press SHIFT during one of these process, plugins will not be execute. You can execute some plugins from the internal explorer dialog box with the contextual menu.
    If you have activate Auto-loading sram on SramOptions dialog box, If it exist, sram files will be loaded from the auto-save path.

    Important:

    Backuping with LittleWriter

    For backuping a roms, just use the Save from contextual menu, and select the name of the file. The program will try to automaticly detect the size of the card. Beware to put a good value on the default rom size


    Sram writing/loading

    For loading sram you may use the contextual menu function "Load Sram". And for backuping sram you may use the "Backup Sram" function.
    The two other function "Refresh Sram", and "Flush Sram" permits to manually use the auto-sram backup. The Flush Sram function backup the file in the auto-save path and keep the history of backup. The Refresh Sram make appears this dialog box:



    In this dialog box you can choice the current history backup you want. Modification will be write to the card after you press the Flash button or the Flash menu
