NeoFlash NDS Roms on Neo Flash
 When looking for NDS roms that you can play on Neo Flash you have to find the ones that have been released by GST - Golden Sun Team. These roms have been modified to work on the NeoFlash Magi Key sets and come in two versions.
GST GBA_Save - the ones we like - these NDS ROMS are patched so that the will store the game progress (gamesave) into the GBA Flash Card. From gba flash you can later on backup the sav file to PC and trade them over the internet. (For example exchange Nintendogs)
Sometimes they are labled without with an "S" behind the ROM release number.
GST NDS_Save - these nds roms will store GameSaves to the Nintendo DS game card that is inserted into the Magic Key, so IF you don't have an Action Replay DUO for backup of files from ds cartridges you will owervrite the saves that are on that cart...

Demo files same as homebrew you can play from NeoFlash or any DS compatible flash card. Can boot them with PassMe or even better with FlashMe. As they do not have gamesaves there is no need for another game to be in the ds slot.

Super Mario 64 DS and Metroid Prime Hunters - First Hunt released by DarkFader do not work on Neo Flash or any other Flash Card.
NeoFlash 512Mb card and Slim Loader III flash writer is a GBA Flash Card analog to the XG2 Turbo and XGflash2 2005 we have already reviewed. ( XG2 2005 Slim and XG2 Turbo) In GBA Mode NeoFlash inherits all the features of XG2 - in fact you can choose to use the XG2 software as it has some features in it that Neoteam has not added to the NEO Power Kit. Both software packages look the same, except XG2flash doesn't have a NDS mode for writing Nintendo DS roms.
At the beginning we were skeptical about NEOteam using XG2, but as it turned out it is not bad at all! They didn't have to spend time reinventing what was already there and as a pleasant sideeffct we can use XG2 Turbo 512M and 1Gb cards to play commercial NDS ROMs!
Note that 256M XG Flash cards including the PRO card in the above image will work only with the FreeWare roms and Nintendo Wireless DEMOS - you need a 512M / 1G Neo or XG2 card to play COMMERCIAL NDS ROMS like Mario 64 DS and Metroid.
Currently 512M and 1Gb Neo Flash Cards are available. On the box it states that NeoFlash will come in sizes from 128Mb to 4Gb. Larger cards like 2Gig and 4G would be useful only when the Neo Team or another developer comes out with a Multi-ROM-Loader. At this point you are able to load only one commercial NDS roms at a time, and as their maximum size is 1GigaBit there is no need for a card larger than that. In fact neo card we have is 512Mb and we also tested 1Gb XG2 turbo with the Magic Key. In both cases most of the card stays empty:
FlashMe is a hacked version of original firmware.
* The button combination A+B+X+Y, gamecode "PASS" or title "DSBooter" on the GBA cartridge starts program from GBA cartridge.
